Since May 1, 2018, we, Lone and Torben, have had the pleasure of welcoming guests to Motel Hune Apartments.

Inspired by our travels to Mexico and Cuba, we came up with the idea to create our own lodging where atmosphere and personality go hand in hand with relaxation and quality surroundings. Our ambition remains the same today, to create a place where you feel at home whether you are here for a short stay or a longer vacation.

Motels are best known from the USA where you can drive directly to the door and check in and out quickly. There are not many motels in Denmark and most are often associated with very basic rooms. We chose to keep the name Motel Hune and add Apartments because we now offer far more than people expect from a classic motel.

In fact, we often hear from our guests that the name is pleasantly misleading. Many are happily surprised by the standard, the decor and the atmosphere, and we take that as a great compliment.

We have owned a summer house in Blokhus for over eight years and therefore know the local area very well, both the beautiful nature and the vibrant cultural life. We are happy to share recommendations for excursions and activities if you need inspiration during your stay.

We had no experience in the industry when we started, only plenty of drive and curiosity. And we still do. For us, Motel Hune is an ongoing process where we are constantly learning and inspired to develop the place with our guests at the centre.
